Yamaha SWP 1-8 MMF w/ Dual Fiber Ports (Main Office, Kitted with DM7 Consoles)

DM7 Network Configuration Overview

When receiving or deploying a DM7 from the Main Office inventory, it will include a rack equipped with two Yamaha SWP1-8MMF switches, along with a separate unit containing a Yamaha SWP1-8MMF with dual OpticalCon ports.

These components are designed to operate as a redundant network system.

Note: When using Shure Axient in split/redundant mode, connect the unit’s CTRL port to the primary Dante network. Control data will be transmitted over Dante, allowing full control from Yamaha consoles.

Rio Rack Configuration

The Rio rack includes two Yamaha SWP1-8MMF switches (each equipped with a single fiber/OpticalCON port):

• The top switch is designated for the primary network
• The bottom switch is designated for the secondary (redundant) network

FOH Switch Configuration

The standalone switch with dual fiber ports is intended for use at Front of House (FOH).

• This unit should be configured to Preset C
• Preset C enables two VLANs:
  • One for the primary network
  • One for the secondary network
