VTX A6/B15
The VTX A6s and VTX B15s are passive, which means they only need one channel of amplification to function. They use the NL4 outputs on the back of the amps. Since the NL4s on the back of the amps send 2 channels each, we can use the A/B switches on the back of the A6s and B15s to switch channels without running 2 NL4 cables per stack of 8 A6s or 4 B15s max. With the 4x3500s being 4 channel amplifiers, you can run 16 VTX A6s or 8 VTX B15s per amp.
INPUT WIRING
- Use the inputs on the panel at the top of the rack for the A6s and plug directly into Input 1 on the 3rd amp for the B15s
- Keep the jumpers plugged in except to insert Subwoofer feed
- The A6 Presets are set to use Input 1 for Out 1&2 and Input 2 for Out 3&4
- Be sure the amps have the correct presets recalled
OUTPUT WIRING
Below are couple example diagrams that show the best way to wire a system of A6s and B15s with the VRack 4x3500HD. You can run up to 4 A6s per channel, the below examples just have 3 per circuit.
6 A6s and 2 B15s a Side
As stated in the input section of this page, Out 1&2 is fed by Input 1 and Out 3&4 is fed by Input 2.
12 A6s and 4 B15s a Side
These are not the only ways to wire these system, they are just the easiest with how the presets are made. This is also to give an idea of how much you can do with just one VRack 4x3500HD.
NOTICE: The A/B switches on the back of both of the A6s and B15s are very important. If they are not set correctly, it could lead to overloading the amplifier. So be sure to double check to make sure your arrays are set correctly.
