Live AI Captions with PowerPoint 365
- Equipment you will need on your order:
- An Office 365 laptop in the room in addition to any graphics laptops that are already reserved.
- An audio mixer in the room
- Some way to get an audio feed from the mixer into the laptop e.g. Shure X2u, Roland switcher, or similar.
- A main video switcher in the room e.g. ATEM or Roland. Depending on some factors of your setup, one Roland may be able to serve both functions.
-
Take an audio feed from the mixer and connect it to the Office 365 laptop with a Shure X2u, Roland switcher, or similar.
- Take the HDMI output from the Office 365 laptop and connect it to an input on an ATEM switcher or similar.
- Open PowerPoint on the Office 365 laptop and sign in with your Markey's credentials. Note: A client should NEVER use a laptop that has Markey's credentials signed in, and client data should NEVER touch a laptop that has Markey's credentials signed in.
- Create a presentation with one slide that contains nothing but a green background.
- Enable live captions and select the Shure X2u (or whatever your audio input device is) as the microphone.
- In your main video switcher, key out the green background.
- Now you have an input on the switcher that is live AI captions that can be used as an overlay.
