Buck Boosters

After researching the Buck Boosters that are in the kit with these projectors, we have determined that the Buck Boosters are not necessary. Buck Boosters will no longer be sent with these projectors on show site effective immediately.

Without going through much detail about our findings, these are the new power guidelines for the use of the Barco HDX W20 Flex Projectors.

  • Voltage must be higher than 208v at the Distro. (if under 208v lamp might flicker)

  • When voltage is at 208v-211v, a maximum of 100’ of cabling between the distro and projector is permitted. (12-gauge cable is required)

  • When the voltage is higher than 211v, up to 200’ cabling between distro and projector is permitted. (12-gauge cable is required)

It is important to do a site survey and ask questions about the power at the venue when these projectors need to be used.
